  1. Analyzing the NFL Draft, Part 1

Now that the NFL draft is over, much of the news centers around the “winners” and “losers.” The basic media consensus is that the Steelers and Eagles are part of the former group, whereas the Broncos and Seahawks fall within the latter. All personal biases aside, we’ve looked into what stories the data tells us at StubHub — winners, losers, etc. We’ll be rolling out this information in two parts, beginning with a Top 10 list for today. Based on StubHub ticket sales since Thursday, these are the top teams:

    1.       Cowboys

    2.       Redskins

    3.       Seahawks

    4.       Giants

    5.       Chargers

    6.       Eagles

    7.       Bills

    8.       Panthers

    9.       Broncos

    10.   Bengals

Any initial thoughts? Tomorrow, we’ll dive even deeper into this info to provide a more robust look.

Stacking up the Stanley Cup Playoffs

We’ve also taken a look at the Semifinals and stacked up each series side-by-side, looking at the number of tickets fans have been purchasing on StubHub to date. Right now, the Devils-Flyers leads the pack:

    1.       Devils vs. Flyers: over 9000 tickets

    2.       Rangers vs. Capitals: over 8400

    3.       St. Louis Blues vs. LA Kings: nearly 8000

    4.       Predators vs. Coyotes: over 7500
