  1. Will Tonight be the Night for the Heat?

Hi all, Shannon here.  With Jo away this week, I’ll be guest blogging today, updating you on the trends for tonight’s Game 5 in Miami.  Feel free to reach out to me at sbarbara@stubhub.com with any questions.

    Prices down but not much:
Since yesterday, the average price for game 5 has decreased by $29, bringing that number to $717.  The lowest priced ticket purchased was $175 for Standing Room Only, while the most expensive was a hefty $9500. Ticket sales for Game 5 alone already make up 15.8% of StubHub’s total sales today.

    Last year:
This time last year, the average price for Game 5 of the Finals (Heat at Mavs) was $675.

As Jo mentioned before, we haven’t seen any extremely low priced tickets fly off the shelf.  Even now, just a few hours before game time, the lowest priced available tickets are in the $300 range.

Tonight’s matchup is our top viewed event today. As I write this entry, Game 5 just broke over 1,000,000 page views; that’s 9% of our total views for the day.  To put things in perspective, the Yankees/Mets game on Sunday is next in line… 220,000 views.  So 1,000,000 is pretty amazing!

What do you think, will the Heat clinch the Championship tonight?
