  1. Introducing… The Hall of Fans and the Ultimate Fan Pet Contest

Those of you that tuned into the (live again, after 6 years!) ESPY’s last night, may have heard that we’ve linked up with ESPN and are creating The Hall of Fans, the first independent institution celebrating sports fandom across the country. Now, what does this mean?

In a nutshell, three incredible fans will be the inaugural inductees at the (soon to be built) Hall of Fans in September, which will be located on ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. campus. We’re looking for the most passionate fans — of whatever it is — and will now be bringing their stories to life year after year. In the same way that ESPN celebrates fandom through a variety of touch points and engagements, we at StubHub also celebrate the passion around live events and empower fans to create experiences around them.

So what are you waiting for? Submit now at www.TheHallofFans.com

The official press announcement can be found HERE

    What’s the Ultimate Fan Pet?

Switching gears, but staying on track with the fan-centric contests, I’d like to draw your attention to a series of “Ultimate Fan” contests, which we kicked off last month at StubHub. Last month, we honed in on festival fans (timed of course, with our sponsorship of Bonnaroo), and this month, we’re looking for the best fan story that centers around your pet!

Those of you that know me, know that I’m a diehard A’s fan and that my dog has also adopted (well, has been forced) my loyalties and wears an A’s collar every day. I’m not one to dress up my dog, but I did buy him an A’s doggie jersey when he was a pup. Meet Stewey, everyone.

Shameless plug to work in a picture of my dog, but what’s even sadder is that he’s gotten too big and can’t fit that jersey anymore. Anyone have a dog that wants a hand-me-down and is willing to be an A’s fan?

All joking aside, if I was able to submit for this contest, I would have sent this pic. But you guys can — and the winner will get a $500 StubHub gift card. Who’s ready to put their pet on center stage? Submit HERE via Facebook.
